Salco Inc. offers a wide range of products and services including a complete line of pallets and skids to meet all of our customer’s shipping requirements. From custom building any wood pallet to our customer’s specifications to custom designing a pallet for any specific shipping requirement locally or internationally.

 

As a pallet supplier, we also offer new, used, re-manufactured and recycled wood pallets all at very affordable and competitive prices.

NEW PALLETS

Salco works with various partners to offer new wood pallets in all sizes, lumber types and designs. The automated pallet assembly machine can build over 2,000 new pallets per day to meet any high volume pallet requirement.

 

For small quantity orders and precision designed pallets, our hand assembly division specializes in custom designing and building pallets and tops for unique applications & extreme sizes large or small. Custom pallets can be built as 2-way, 4-way, flush, wing, inset, plywood deck.

CUSTOM PALLET CAPABILITIES

  • Notching: Allows for entry into the pallets from all four sides.
  • Chamfering: Makes it easier for hand pallet jacks to enter the pallet.
  • Banding: Stabilizes the stack for easier movement.
  • Stenciling: Provides identification on the pallets.

USED & RECYCLED PALLETS

At Salco we place a great deal of importance on recycling our products and on being environmentally friendly. Our recycling division reconditions used pallets on-site for immediate resale. In addition, we maintain a large inventory of used pallets in various sizes readily available for delivery or pick up as low cost alternative for our customers.

 

Once repaired, the 48" by 40" pallets are available for resale. We have three main grades available as follows:

 

Grade A Pallet: (No. 1s) The highest grade used pallet. There are some subcategories to further insure you get the right pallet for your application:

 

  • PREMIUM Grade A#1 – Like new. Clean. With 6” lead boards in excellent condition. Typically used in Food or Medical industries
  • NO PLATE #1s - A notch below premium. May have 4” or 6” lead boards. No metal fastening plates. Typically used in distribution centers or industries where conveyors send the pallets past several scanners.
  • REGULAR #1s - May have 4” or 6” lead boards. Also may have metal fastening plates used to repair broken stringers. Typically used in distribution centers or industries where the product is already sealed or packaged

 

Grade B Pallet: (No. 2s) - Pallets that have been repaired with a complimentary or second stringer. Usually these pallets have multiple repairs. Typically used in metal or other industries that want a pallet to support their product weight but don’t need something that looks nice or runs though scanners.

 

Grade C Pallet: Lightweight/light duty or two-way pallets

 

Crates: We partner with a packaging/shipping company that makes crates specifically to ship your product. We need the dimensions for size and shape, the weight, and the destination so we can process for international shipping if needed.

 

Heavy Duty Pallets: We also have heavy duty pallets with 4 stringers or thicker boards available if needed.

RE-MANUFACTURED PALLETS

Salco’s recycling division also builds remanufactured pallets. These are pallets built from scratch using all used and recycled lumber or a combination of new and used. These pallets can be ordered built to size to our customer’s specifications.

 

We cut the reclaimed wood to your specific dimensions and then build the pallet. Small orders of less than 50 can usually be processed within a few days. Large orders or large pallets will take a little longer.

NON STANDARD SIZE PALLETS

At Salco, we also can build specialty sizes. The non-standard sizes usually can be made with reclaimed wood. New wood is used if the pallet specifications are rigid or the pallet is large.

 

These pallets can be built to your specific dimensions and sizes. If the request is unusual, we will build a sample pallet to make sure it meets your needs before we process the entire order.
